Shopper agency FPP has recruited Tim Orrell to their senior team in the UK. Orrell, who joins from his role as Group Marketing Services Director at JD Sports Fashion Group, will lead FPP’s UK client business out of its offices in Leeds and Newcastle, helping major retailers, manufacturers and brands to solve their shopper problems as part of the established team and as a consultant.

Orrell brings over 30 years of marketing experience, including time spent both client side and agency side, having held senior roles at Golley Retail and Live & Breathe.

Tim Orrell says: “I enjoyed my time with JD and the challenges that came with their on-going success and rapid growth, but it’s great to be back in ‘agency-land’. I’m looking forward to working with the team at FPP to get clients giddy about connecting shoppers with their brands.”

He adds: “The world continues to change and shopper marketing is responding, moving quickly into its next phase. We all need to re-visit some of the established techniques as retail changes and start to think about how we can better communicate during an increasingly hectic and noisy shopper journey.”

Ted Rodger, FPP Group Managing Director, comments: “We have been searching for a long time for the right leader for our UK team. When the opportunity came to work with a talent like Tim, we did not hesitate. He is a man that we have always respected from afar as a competitor but we did not expect the personality fit to be as seamless as it is.”

FPP have offices in Leeds, Newcastle and Geneva. Current clients include Arla Foods, Quorn, Kellogg’s, Zeiss and Procter & Gamble.
