Rae joins the IPM from Black Tomato and has been involved with the IPM throughout his agency career, having participated in the early ’30 under 30’ programme to his role on the IPM Board, he has a wealth of industry experience to add to the IPM’s talent base.
Rae’s appointment as Managing Director is announced as Paul Cope steps down after two years in the role. Cope will be taking on a new direction and leaves the organisation in early March. During this period Rae and Cope will work closely together to ensure a smooth handover for IPM Members and in the run-up to the IPM’s legendary Awards night.
John Sylvester, Chairman of the IPM, says: “I am delighted to welcome Andrew to the IPM and very much look forward to working with him and the board to develop strategy and services for our members. Both Andrew’s industry experience and his knowledge of the IPM will be invaluable.”
Sylvester further adds: “Can I also take this opportunity to thank Paul for his valued contribution over the last couple of years and to wish him every success in the next phase of his career.”
Andrew Rae, comments: “Having been involved with the IPM in varying guises for my entire career, I have seen first-hand its absolute benefit and relevance. It’s a huge compliment to be given the opportunity to support the IPM and its team in a landscape where the very way we talk about promotional marketing is constantly evolving. Through our Communities offering, we are giving our members the opportunity to not only address, with their peers, the issues facing the industry but also shape the very business they inhabit. It’s a truly exciting time to be involved with the IPM and I’m tremendously excited to get to work.”
