Ginsters has launched an on-pack promotion that aims to “celebrate football fans that go the extra mile in supporting their club” with a prize of £10,000 on offer to the fan selected as the ‘Match Day Hero’ for their dedication to their team and their fellow fans.
At the same time, the savoury snack brand is also giving away a full “footie front room” prize package, including a sofa, a Ginsters-branded mini-fridge and a 55-inch TV every week for 12 weeks.
The “Match Day Hero” competition runs until May 8th 2016 and will feature on up to 20 million packs across all core savoury lines.
Fans can nominate themselves or their friends. Entry is via the www.matchdayhero.co.uk website, and entrants have to upload a funny picture or 15 second video of themselves or a friend acting like a match day hero.
All valid entries, once duplicates and any that include trademarks or logos without permission or are defamatory or promote unacceptable behaviour have been removed, will be judged by a panel consisting of Ginsters staff, its marketing agencies and an independent judge. The winner will be selected on the basis of their dedication to their football team, the camaraderie they show to fellow fans and the creativity and originality of the reason for the nomination.
There will also be 30,000 Ginsters sausage rolls to be won instantly.
