Performance is moving closer to the heart of creative communications. IPM member, PrettyGreen has acquired performance marketing business PinPoint Media, adding paid capability to its integrated offer as part of a wider growth strategy.

The deal sees PrettyGreen take a majority stake in PinPoint Media for an undisclosed sum, while keeping the agency’s leadership and team structure intact.

  • PrettyGreen takes a majority stake in PinPoint Media (sum undisclosed)
  • PinPoint Media and PrettyGreen will remain separate legal entities.
  • The acquisition adds paid social, paid search and content marketing to PrettyGreen’s existing capabilities

PinPoint Media employs 17 permanent staff and have worked with consumer brands such as Knoops, Planthood and Cutter & Squidge, while PrettyGreen has 55 (alongside additional freelance support). Staff across both businesses are expected to remain in their roles unchanged.

The acquisition forms part of PrettyGreen’s “buy-and-build” approach, with investment focused on scaling founder-led businesses and building broader capability across the group.

“The partnership unlocks exciting new opportunities for both businesses, teams and clients… Our agencies do different but complementary work, so there will be opportunities to collaborate and integrate. This acquisition is an opportunity to grow both companies.”

PrettyGreen founder and group chair Mark Stringer said the move is a clear signal of intent to back “ambitious, founder-led agencies” that are redefining how marketing, performance and creative are delivered. Group chief executive Jessica Hargreaves-Paczek added that the partnership supports PrettyGreen’s ambition to futureproof its ability to deliver “global fame-making campaigns”, rooted in “independence, outstanding performance and craft.”

PinPoint Media was founded in 2013 by Oliver Bruce, who will continue as chief executive and retain a meaningful shareholding. The agency has offices in Cheltenham and Southwark, London, and acquired specialist DTC paid media and creative agency NOVA+ in 2023.

Bruce described the move as the start of a “new chapter”, pointing to greater access to talent for clients and the opportunity to scale internationally.

PrettyGreen’s sister firms include experiential agency The Producers and now PinPoint Media. The group’s client roster includes Hasbro, Sky, Bupa, Tesco, Innocent Drinks, Homesense, PizzaExpress and Lebara. At the most recent PRWeek UK Awards, PrettyGreen won Marketing Communications: Culture, Media, Sport and Travel for its ‘Mummy Pig’s Pregnancy Announcement’ campaign for Hasbro.
