January 2022 saw the latest edition of the hugely successful ShellGo+ Spin to Win campaign taking over 1000+ Shell forecourts in the UK. The tiered, multi-partner, 8-week mega promotion is back and bigger than ever with even more prizes to be won for drivers spending £20 on fuel or retail goods at Shell.
Following the inaugural campaign last year that quicky became Shell’s best performing loyalty promotion smashing all loyalty targets, the bar was high to deliver promotional objectives. Once again, Mando-Connect and Wunderman-Thompson teamed up with a mission to elevate and evolve the Spin to Win concept, ensuring all the best bits of the original campaign were kept whilst exploring new ways to make it an even better experience for Shell customers. Shell utilised Mando’s fixed-fee capability to ensure the budget maximised the opportunity to reward as many drivers as possible, with every spin providing an instant win and an extra token for a collect and win mechanic.
For the second edition Mando-Connect were keen to bring even more of the ShellGo+ experience into the promotion as again both acquisition and engaging existing members were two key objectives. This meant further integration with the ShellGo+ app, whereby thousands of instant rewards such as free fuel, coffee and sweet treats are being dropped into customer’s ShellGo+ app wallets immediately after spinning the wheel to reveal their prize.
Alongside this Mando-Connect went deeper into the Shell partner world to create stand out prizes and experiences with the likes of Halfords, Waitrose, Jamie Oliver and Shell Energy.. With the rise of electrified vehicles and with over 60% of Shell’s customer base actively looking for more eco-conscious products, Mando-Connect ensured there was a sustainable thread in the prize pool with garden makeovers, wild seed packets and re-usable travel packs.
The second Spin to Win campaign runs through until March 2022.
