The agency is promoting ‘Polestar 2 on Tour’, a series of roadshow events designed to drive awareness of Polestar 2 ahead of first customer deliveries in summer 2020. The roadshow events are creating exceptional levels of interest in the new all-electric car.

Following a rigorous pitch process, Space was appointed as the creative and experiential partner for Polestar in the UK.

The UK roadshow kicked off at the historic Goodwood Festival of Speed and now follows a series of exciting pop-up events throughout London, Birmingham and Manchester, including a pop-up gallery within the trendy Shoreditch area.

The Polestar event in Shoreditch brings to life the brand’s unique focus on design, creativity and innovation. It will hero the car and provide an in-depth experience for press, customers and the public to meet Polestar 2 on tour.

The tour has been supported by an extensive social and OOH content campaign, developed by Space.

Louise Hardman, Head of Marketing at Polestar UK, said: “As a key European launch market for Polestar, the roadshow has proven to be a great success in driving awareness, consideration and customer excitement. Not only have many of our depositors taken the opportunity to come and see the car for the first time, the roadshow has been a tremendous success with many new customers signing up for our newsletter and placing their deposit to be one of the first to take delivery of their Polestar 2.”

David Atkinson, Managing Partner at Space, said: “Helping to launch the Polestar 2 is an extremely exciting project for Space. Everything about the brand, the cars, technology and innovation is about challenging the conventions of the automotive industry. Getting potential buyers closer to the car, to experience its sensory strengths and product features for themselves, is critical. Our aim is to ensure that the right people can join the story of the Polestar 2. We look forward to building our relationship with Polestar as their impressive journey continues.”

The campaign broke on July 23rd 2018 in the USA, with sampling and experiential activations at the Taste of the Cocktails event in New Orleans, and will roll out in other lead markets later in the year – including France in September, the UK in October and Taiwan in 2019

The campaign is part of the William Grant & Sons-owned brand’s continued drive to recruit new drinkers into the whisky category.

The New Orleans tasting saw the whisky paired with grilled andouille (local Cajun sausage), grits, peppers and cream cheese.

The campaign was put together for Glenfiddich by London-based creative agency Space, which has been awarded the lead strategic and creative responsibilities for launching the next edition in the Experimental Series. The campaign brings to life the brand’s maverick spirit and focuses on the power of a simple question and how it can lead consumers on a journey to challenge conventions.

The newest expression in the Experimental Series is an unexpected peated whisky finished in Latin rum casks.

The campaign will be predominantly social, and kicks off with a 5-second teaser video. It will also feature short-form AV assets, Out of Home, print, interactive social assets such as Facebook canvases and Instagram polls, as well as experiential and sampling, all created by Space.

Campaign visuals centre on the liquid’s unique flavour profile. The hero 20” social video features animated CGI sugar crystals and innovative liquid photography showcasing the smokiness and sweetness of Fire & Cane. It runs in reverse order, opening with the product beauty shot (the outcome of the experiment), and closing with the moment of inspiration (the genesis of the experiment). The core message is that when you question convention, as Glenfiddich has with Fire and Cane, you can spark the unexpected.

Oliver Rudgard, Global Brand Director at Glenfiddich, says: “Fire & Cane is #4 in the Glenfiddich Experimental Series. The Experimental Series demonstrates our continued commitment to create new, innovative and inspiring whiskies. Working with the great team at Space, we have pushed the creative boundaries further to create a set of new codes in the single malt category which are set to create cut through, attention and desire for the Fire & Cane launch across the globe.”

Jason Nicholas, Managing Partner at Space, adds: “The Experimental Series offers the chance to continually work on something that challenges a category. The creative idea in this campaign has led to the creation of a beautifully crafted and visceral campaign that will get under the skin of new drinkers and whisky advocates alike. Working with Glenfiddich on this their key campaign for 2018 has been a great opportunity and led to a campaign we’re really proud of.”

Glenfiddich most recently collaborated with Space to launch its first whisky finished in India Pale Ale (IPA) casks. This was backed by a global TV campaign, also created by Space.

Space is an award-winning integrated marketing agency which works across social, mobile, outdoor, in store, on-pack, in print, live or virtually. Clients include Heineken, Arla Foods, William Grant & Sons, General Mills, Eurostar, Sky, Coral, Bundesliga, UEFA, NBA and AELTC. Our work has been globally recognised with four ‘best in the world’ awards

‘The House of Häagen-Dazs 48 Hour Collection’ kicked off today, July 4th, and runs for the two days of InStyle Lounge (July 4th to 5th) during fashion week and sees the brand challenge young fashion designers to use a new Häagen-Dazs packaging pattern to inspire a real-time street style collection.

The pattern at the centre of this challenge is an exclusive design by renowned Dutch artist, illustrator and occasional art director, Merijn Hos. It will appear on Peanut Butter Crunch packaging, one of the brand’s most on-trend flavours, from 2019. The new pattern forms part of a packaging relaunch of the entire Häagen-Dazs range, unveiling bespoke pattern designs by different artist and designers for each ice cream flavour in 2019.

The Berlin Fashion Week initiative has been put together by London-based creative agency Space.

‘The House of Häagen-Dazs 48 Hour Collection’ challenges three up and coming students at fashion design school Lette Verein Berlin to create a street style look inspired by this new pattern designed for Häagen-Dazs’ Peanut Butter Crunch flavour. Visitors to the InStyle Lounge at The Humboldt-Box Berlin on July 4th-5th 2018 will be able to see the students cut, sew and finish their creations in the lounge.

The winning design will be awarded The House of Häagen-Dazs 48 Hour Collection €2,500 fund, giving one student a helping hand towards building his or her future fashion career.

Visitors to Häagen-Dazs’ InStyle Lounge will have exclusive access to a limited import batch of the redesigned ice cream and will see the Peanut Butter Crunch inspired fashion collection being created live. They will also receive exclusive tote bags and t-shirts featuring the new pattern from the students’ street style designs.

The collection will feature in a promotion in the September edition of In-Style Germany.

“We launched Peanut Butter Ice Cream earlier this year, bringing an on-trend ice cream flavour to the market. It’s great to see how the new design for this flavour comes to life in such an extraordinary way with our first House of Häagen-Dazs fashion collection”, says Adriana Cantú Robles, Head of Marketing of Häagen-Dazs Germany.

David Atkinson, managing director at Space, adds; “This initiative into street style is a bold first for Häagen-Dazs. We’re delighted to have been able to align the brand with championing grass roots design. Häagen-Dazs already has a phenomenal reputation as a style and design pioneer, and we believe this initiative will appeal to the passions of a next generation of German ice-cream aficionados to try the hugely popular Peanut Butter Crunch flavour.”

The Häagen-Dazs brand is owned by General Mills, which also owns a portfolio of dynamic market-leading brands including Old El Paso, Green Giant, Betty Crocker, Nature Valley and Jus-Rol.

The campaign, put together by creative marketing agency Space, calls on the British public to pick up a racket and get playing. Designed to encourage people of all ages and abilities to get out and play tennis this summer, it follows last year’s successful campaign which resulted in Nature Valley becoming the No. 1 protein bar brand, and the fastest growing. This year’s campaign will focus on supporting 150,000 people to get out in nature and play tennis, proactively demonstrating how you can play wherever and whenever.

Johanna Konta and Leon Smith will provide inspiration and share their top tennis tips, encouraging people to make their own court wherever they are, with whatever they have at hand, such as using a bench as a net to make a court space between two trees.

The campaign is aiming for a reach of over 500m, tripling last year’s results through an integrated approach across shopper, digital, social and PR.

To bolster its grassroots credentials and get more people playing at tennis venues as well as on improvised courts, for the first time Nature Valley is also supporting the LTA’s Great British Tennis Weekend on July 21-22, a country-wide initiative to help tennis clubs and venues attract people from the local community to come and try their local tennis facilities and have a go at the sport.

In partnership with four clubs in Eastbourne, Birmingham, Nottingham and South West London, the weekend of play aims to make tennis more accessible for families across the country, encouraging them to visit their local courts and have fun with tennis. The clubs will be holding a range of free activities to demonstrate the many ways to get into tennis, from mini tennis for youngsters, opportunities for families to play together, and showcasing fitness sessions such as Cardio Tennis. The Nature Valley activity at the London club will also welcome Johanna to the event, where she will play with members of the public and share her top tips.

To further support tennis in British, tennis fans will be able to keep their energy levels up by trying a variety of Nature Valley bars with more than 50,000 bars given away during the summer.

Arjoon Bose, Marketing Head UK & Northern Europe for Häagen-Dazs, Nature Valley and Fibre One, says: “Our ambition is for everyone in Britain to include a Nature Valley bar in their tennis kit bag. We are excited about continuing our journey with British Tennis by working with both our ambassadors and helping make tennis more accessible to people across the country. We want to demonstrate the power of sport to connect with our audience and show that tennis can be enjoyed by everyone, anywhere.”

Last year’s campaign (which won Gold in the Most Effective Sponsorship category at the IPM Awards 2018 last week) saw total brand sales grow +19% on the previous year, and generated the brand’s highest ever penetration at 15.2% – contributing 70% of total segment growth in the category. It generated a 76% lift in sales for Nature Valley’s protein line, resulting in record share and penetration.

This year’s campaign will also include bespoke initiatives with Tesco and Sainsbury’s, giving shoppers the chance to win equipment and skills such as a coaching session, tennis kit signed by Johanna Konta and professional Babolat rackets and balls. The British no. 1 will also appear in person at supermarkets in Birmingham, Eastbourne and Nottingham.

David Atkinson, Managing Partner at Space, adds: “The Court is Yours is an inspirational campaign with a true purpose. It’s a long-term and powerful platform designed to create real change for good that we can evolve year on year to align with Nature Valley’s ambitions to encourage more people to get involved with the sport by providing inspiration and practical support.”

Newly-signed brand ambassador Leon Smith has been the Great Britain Davis Cup captain since 2010, leading the team to Davis Cup victory in 2015. He coached Andy Murray during his early years and has been devoted to developing and growing the new generation of British tennis talent in his Davis Cup capacity.

Nature Valley is owned by international food group General Mills. In the UK, Nature Valley is the #1 cereal bar brand and is a major partner of British Tennis as title sponsor of the prestigious ATP and WTA grass-court tournaments of the LTA at the Nature Valley Open (Nottingham), the Nature Valley Classic (Birmingham) and the Nature Valley International (Eastbourne) with British #1 Johanna Konta as its brand ambassador. Nature Valley is also an official global partner of the season-ending ATP World Tour Finals at London O2.

The Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) is the National Governing Body for tennis in Great Britain, responsible for developing and promoting the sport, with a mission to get more people playing tennis more often. The LTA runs and supports a network of 11,500 approved tournaments for players of all ages, the corner-stones of which are the premier grass court events leading up to Wimbledon: the Nature Valley Open at Nottingham, the Nature Valley Classic at Birmingham, the Fever-Tree Championships at Queens Club and the Nature Valley International Eastbourne.

Space is an award-winning integrated marketing agency which works across social, mobile, outdoor, in store, on-pack, in print, live or virtually. Clients include Heineken, Arla Foods, William Grant & Sons, General Mills, Eurostar, Sky, Coral, Bundesliga, UEFA, NBA and AELTC.

The campaign will drive awareness of NIVEA’s shower and body care ranges by engaging consumers in a fun, lively and celebratory experience, put together by creative agency Space.

To bring the campaign to life, Space has built a huge portable (water-free) shower unit and is inviting both participants and supporters to celebrate their achievements by getting into the shower and belting out a specially curated list of empowering songs – such as Cyndi Lauper’s Girls Just Wanna Have Fun and Queen’s Don’t Stop Me Now.

Participants will sing into microphones specially designed to look like NIVEA shower bottles while photographs are taken of their performances. After performing, everyone who takes part will receive a NIVEA sample bag and coupon. They will also be given a QR code flyer which they can use to find their photo from the experience.

Claire Marlow, brand manager at NIVEA, says; “Race for Life are fantastic events that raise money to help fund research into over 200 types of cancer. We wanted to add some extra celebration and feeling of empowerment for people taking part. And a mass shower karaoke felt like the perfect way to give participants and supporters a day to remember and the chance to sing their hearts out.”

David Atkinson, managing partner at Space, adds; “We’re all extremely proud to have created an experience that not only celebrates Race for Life but also enables the NIVEA brand to add to the day. The events are already a collective experience and our ‘Shower Empowered’ activation extends this.”

The first empowered shower took place at Crystal Palace on Sunday June 10th, with people jumping into the shower after crossing the finish line. It will now travel to Race for Life events in Birmingham, Cardiff, Exeter, York, and Edinburgh. It will reach an estimated 30,000 participants this summer.

NIVEA has a long-standing relationship with Cancer Research UK through its sun cream brands. They first worked together in 2012 with the aim of raising millions for the charity’s life-saving research, specifically supporting skin cancer research. This campaign is the first time NIVEA’s broader range of shower and bodycare products have been involved.

Nivea is a personal care brand owned by the German company Beiersdorf Global AG.

Space is an award-winning integrated marketing agency which works across social, mobile, outdoor, in store, on-pack, in print, live or virtually. Clients include Heineken, Arla Foods, William Grant & Sons, General Mills, Eurostar, Sky, Coral, Bundesliga, UEFA, NBA and AELTC. Our work has been globally recognised with four ‘best in the world’ awards.

Designed by creative agency Space, the activation saw an interactive billboard delivering on-demand snow when prompted on twitter with #SnowNow. The experiential campaign targets the typically late-booking UK market, aiming the encourage them to get online to book with SWISS, with the billboard underlining the message that “snow is only ever one click away”.

The integrated campaign featured the specially-designed billboard with a promotional overlay activated by the hashtag. Every tweet triggered a cascade of snow, while all participants received £25 off their next SWISS flight and the opportunity to win one of five pairs of return flights to the Alps.

Activity at the station was promoted by a series of Instagram influencers while a PR campaign provides exclusive competitions in London publications.

Chloe Ravat, Senior Marketing Manager at SWISS, said: “The 360o campaign is a fun and engaging way to attract attention to our brand. The reactive nature of the billboard activity mimics how UK skiers typically book their holidays – online and at the last minute.”

David Atkinson, Managing Partner at Space, observed: “SWISS is the skiers’ airline, with more than 180 flights a day from London and free ski carriage as part of its inclusive fares. The #SnowNow campaign is the perfect conversation starter for SWISS, disrupting the humdrum of the London commute, letting us boost brand awareness and drive traffic online, as well as offering the chance to win a premium taste of the Alps with SWISS.”

Space is an award-winning agency with a client list including Heineken, Arla Foods, William Grant & Sons, General Mills, Eurostar, Sky, Coral, Bundesliga, UEFA, NBA and AELTC.

Ireland took the lead with 25 trophies, followed by the Czech Republic with 18, Belgium with 16, and Italy and United Kingdom, both with 11.

The biggest individual success was for Irish agency guns or knives, which took a total of 14 awards – five for the Hailo Drive For Equality campaign, four for the Orchard Thieves Launch for Heineken Ireland, three for the Hailo 3rd Birthday activity and two for It’s Your Call, again for Heineken.

BBDO from Belgium took seven awards – three for Lidl Blend Test, two for The Write Thing for Parkinson Liga and two for Personal Billboards for JC Decaux.

UK campaigns won 11 awards. Carey Trevill, Managing Director of the IPM, says: “Agencies Haygarth, Pretty Green, Space, Jack Morton, TLC Marketing and whynot! thinkpeople are all recognised for their work across a broad spectrum of blue chip brands. With wins across Innovative Idea, Digital Comms, Integrated, Product Launch and other high profile categories, the UK have yet again shown strength across promotional marketing.”

Integrated agency Space collected four Silver IMC trophies for GalaCoral with their innovative #CheltenHAM micropig racing content concept for betting company Coral, which won the IPM Awards 2016 Grand Prix earlier this year. Pretty Green scooped another two Silver IMCs for client Concha y Toro, while IPM Gold winners Haygarth picked up a Silver IMC for Sony. TLC Marketing’s campaigns for BUPA UK and Continental collected Silver and Bronze awards, while Jack Morton’s work for Freeview picked up a Silver with whynot! thinkpeople picking up an award for Arla.

Carey Trevill adds: “With an incredibly strong assembly of entries, the UK picked up some great IMC Awards this year including more awards for our IPM Awards 2016 Grand Prix Winner, Space, for #CheltenHAM, Haygarth for its work for Sony and Pretty Green for its work for Concha y Toro. An impressive list of winners from the UK and we’ll be back next year to take back the coveted IMC Grand Prix to demonstrate our creative strength in Europe.”

IMCC Chairman, Ondrej Gottwald, comments: “I am really grateful for the agencies’ high interest in the IMC European Awards and the high number of entries during my chairmanship. I am delighted that our industry is doing well across Europe. Beside the commercial campaigns, I highly value campaigns with positive social impact. I really like to see that these campaigns are recognised and rewarded by industry professionals.”

The winning campaigns were selected after two rounds of judging. All entries were first reviewed by a jury panel made up of 45 leading industry professionals from across Europe. Entries were then judged by the second round jury, comprised of IMCC Council member representatives. Full details of the judging procedure can be found at the official website at www.imcceurope.com.

Only campaigns which first win gold awards in their respective national awards programmes are eligible to enter the IMC Awards.

For the UK, the only way to enter the IMCs is to first win Gold in the annual IPM Awards. The IPM has just announced details of the IPM Awards 2017. For further information about categories, how to enter and entry fees, please contact the IPM Awards team on 020 3848 0444 or check the IPM website, www.theipm.org.uk.

The IMC European Awards are run by the Integrated Marketing Communications Council (IMCC), which is part of the European Association of Communications Agencies (EACA). The IPM is a member of EACA.

‘The ‘Greatest Show on Turf’ will target festival goers with fun circus style activation that aims to get them to download the Coral app, win free bets and place their first bet of the day with the bookmaker. The campaign was created for Coral by creative agency, Space.

Coral will support the experiential push with a disruptive street projection campaign playing specially-created circus-themed ads across a number of iconic venues in the centre of Cheltenham. The ads will prime race goers for the experiential campaign that they will encounter over the four days of the Festival.

Race goers will also be targeted at high traffic spots on the way to the racecourse. A stilt-walking ring master will encourage visitors to sign up for the app and try and win one of thousands of free bets worth £5, £10 or £20 by hitting a ‘test your strength’ high striker bell.

The circus teams will drive app downloads via leafleting and face-to-face contact with festival goers. Each group will carry a MiFi unit to let people download the Coral app, allowing them to access Coral’s bets on the course.

Jason Nicholas, managing partner at Space, says: “Cheltenham is a highlight of the racing calendar with a circus-style atmosphere of its own. We wanted to reflect that with activity that was fun and in the spirit of Cheltenham, as well as helping Coral to really make its mark and stand out amongst the competition noise.”

This year’s Cheltenham Festival starts today (March 15th 2016) and runs until March 18th.
