The confectionery brand will be donating 30p from every bar sold to the Legion, to help its work with the British Armed Forces, veterans and their families. In addition to this financial contribution, Cadbury is supporting the Legion through a year-round calendar of fundraising events and activities.

The 360g bar bears an almost identical wrapper design as Cadbury Dairy Milk bars sold during First World War, but with the addition of poppies, which became a symbol of Remembrance after the war’s end.

Cadbury is also supporting the Legion’s Thank You movement. The campaign aims to thank all who served, sacrificed and changed our world during the First World War. Cadbury will be sharing remarkable stories of the First World War generation who shaped the world we live in today – including those of the Cadbury workforce who supported the war effort on the battlefield and the home front. This included the ‘Cadbury Angels’, women who took up roles within the business during war time and sent almost 30,000 care packages to men serving on the frontline.

While more than 2,000 Cadbury employees joined the armed forces, many others provided critical care for injured soldiers through the Friends Ambulance Unit, established by Laurence Cadbury. Many of the wounded were brought back to Bournville where Cadbury properties were converted to hospitals.

Beth Cameron, Brand Manager, Cadbury, says: “Through our Remembrance Bar and partnership with the Royal British Legion, we are saying ‘Thank You’ to all who served, sacrificed, and changed our world during the First World War. The remarkable stories of the Cadbury workforce 100 years ago have shaped the business we are today and are particularly important for us to remember at the centenary of the end of WWI.”

Catherine Davies, Head of Remembrance at the Royal British Legion, comments: “It is right and fitting that Cadbury is a Thank You partner given its proud history dating back to the First World War. Cadbury made a great contribution to the First World War by sending morale-boosting gift packages to soldiers on the front line and converting Cadbury buildings to hospitals for the injured back home. We are grateful to Cadbury for continuing its long standing support for our Armed Forces community and donating to the Legion through the sale of this special chocolate bar.”

The Cadbury brand is owned by Mondelēz International, the global snacking company with 2016 net revenues of approximately $26 billion. Mondelēz is a world leader in biscuits, chocolate, gum, candy and powdered beverages, with power brands including Oreo and belVita biscuits; Cadbury Dairy Milk and Milka chocolate; and Trident gum.

The on-pack activity is part of a fundraising pledge which will see the family-run food producer raise over £100,000 for the charity. The limited-edition Baxters Favourites soups will be available in supermarkets nationwide this autumn, with over a penny donated to Macmillan for every tin sold.

By 2020, almost one in two people will get cancer at some point in their lives, which is why Baxters Food Group and Macmillan Cancer Support are working together to help raise vital funds for people living with cancer.

This promotion could pay for two Macmillan nurses for 12 months, helping people living with cancer and their families receive essential medical, practical and emotional support. Over this period two Macmillan Nurses on average will help 336 patients with cancer with many friends, family and colleagues supported too.

Laura Foreman, Fundraising Manager for Macmillan, joined Baxters’ Chef and Group Innovation Manager Darren Sivewright in the kitchen at the company’s headquarters in Edinburgh to launch the initiative, which will serve up much-needed funds.

Commenting on the partnership, Audrey Baxter, Executive Chairman at Baxters, said: “Macmillan Cancer Support is a charity we are passionate about supporting in our anniversary year as cancer has touched so many of our lives. Many of our staff have already got involved with the fundraising, and now every customer can show their support too.”

A donation will be made to Macmillan for every tin purchased from a range of 14 Baxters Favourites soups, including Cream of Tomato, Chicken Broth, Scotch Broth, Cock-A-Leekie, Chicken and Vegetable, and Minestrone.

Laura Foreman, Fundraising Manager at Macmillan, comments: “We are delighted to be launching this promotion with our partners Baxters. This partnership will have a huge impact on the lives of those in need, helping us to provide vital support and services across the country. We want to send a huge heartfelt thank you to Baxters staff and customers for their enthusiasm, commitment and support.”

Throughout its 150th anniversary year, Baxters staff from all over the UK are raising money for Macmillan, with activities ranging from sky diving and bungee jumping to raffles and race nights.

All of the proceeds from the auction will be donated to plastic-free charity, Surfers Against Sewage, one of seven charities chosen by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to receive donations from people wishing to mark their wedding.

The set of miniature hats were created using state-of-the-art 3D printing and are 100% recyclable. Each of the five exclusive hat designs was inspired by an iconic look previously sported by female royals including Queen Elizabeth, Kate Middleton, Meghan Markle, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.

The concept was dreamed up by Israeli innovation agency, Gefen Team, and developed jointly with SodaStream’s Global Marketing Team.

Hugo Tagholm, Chief Executive of Surfers Against Sewage, says: “Tackling ocean plastic pollution should be a top priority for governments, brands and people. SodaStream’s commitment to eliminate plastic and promote reusable bottles is a great step in the right direction towards plastic free coastlines, and sends a strong message to the beverage industry. This fun and quirky project to celebrate the royal wedding further highlights the importance of stopping the single-use plastic epidemic.”

Daniel Birnbaum, Chief Executive Officer of SodaStream, comments: “I take my hat off to the royal couple and wish them all the best in their marriage. I applaud them for embracing the cause of creating a plastic bottle free world and choosing Surfers Against Sewage as one of their official charities. I hope others will be inspired and join the cause.”

These include an outdoor gym in Tonypandy, Wales, a print studio for local young artists in Rotherham, and a community centre in Goathland, North Yorkshire.

‘Made Local’ was launched by the UK’s number one beer brand last May, to support local community projects nominated by individual Carling customers.

Molson Coors’ account managers engaged with a number of customers to find projects and causes across the country where Carling’s help was needed.

The Carling Made Local activity comes as part of the wider ‘Putting the Great Back into Great British Pubs and Clubs’ campaign launched by Molson Coors in March 2017, designed to celebrate communities across the UK and provide practical, first hand support to pubs and clubs.

In Rotherham, a brand-new print studio was delivered as part of the initiative. The print studio has been added to The Sorting Office, a completely transformed derelict cellar that is now a co-working space for upcoming artists to work and develop their skills in Rotherham. The print studio will give young artists a unique place to come and work in their local community, helping them make the town into their own.

A new outdoor gym that will benefit the local community in Tonypandy, South Wales has also been completed as part of the Carling initiative. Focused on promoting sport and health across the community, the Cambrian Village Trust, based at the local Sky Blues Café, run a series of programmes targeted towards different groups including the disabled and those suffering with mental health problems. The new outdoor gym will be used by various sports teams based around the area including professional sportsmen, as well as being open to the general public.

Another example of the initiative’s work is the successful delivery of a new community hub in Goathland village, North Yorkshire. Following four years of fundraising and 18 months of construction, the newly transformed community hub, nicknamed “The Hut”, will offer a range of facilities including a public library, bar and cricket pavilion. With construction work for the facility itself recently being completed, the final piece of the jigsaw was to build a new road to link up The Hut with the surrounding area. The Carling initiative helped to deliver the new road, linking the village community and “The Hut” and completing the community initiative.

The Carling ‘Made Local’ team also supported two further community projects in Padliham near Burnley, devastated by the Boxing Day floods of 2015, and Pengam in South Wales, where ‘Made Local’ has supported the restoration of the town’s Constitutional Club concert room.

Miranda Osborne, Carling Brand Director, said: “We are extremely proud of the work we’ve delivered as part of our Carling ‘Made Local’ initiative. We recognise the value of supporting local communities, as pubs, landlords and their drinkers are crucial to making Carling what it is. To see the tangible impact this initiative has had on the communities we’ve worked with has been fantastic. We look forward to driving Carling ‘Made Local’ forward and supporting more local communities across the UK throughout 2018.”

Molson Coors is one of the largest global brewers, with brands including Coors Light, Coors Banquet, Miller Lite, Molson Canadian, Carling, Staropramen, Sharp’s Doom Bar, Leinenkugel’s Summer Shandy, Blue Moon Belgian White, Hop Valley, Creemore Springs and Crispin Cider.

In the UK, men are three times more likely to take their own life than women, and suicide is the largest killer of UK men under the age of 45. CALM is fighting against this and working to drive societal change around what it means to be a man.

The charity provides both short-term help in the form of frontline crisis management, and long-term campaigning to build awareness and influence contemporary culture. It partners with UK brands to help them operate more effectively in an ever-changing male society.

Andrew Brown, Director of Corporate Partnerships at CALM, says: “We’ve enlisted Brand & Deliver’s help to create brand partnerships that can both drive brand success and impact essential societal change, combating oppressive male stereotypes which are costing lives.”

Rosalyn Carmoody, Partnerships Director at Brand & Deliver, observes: “CALM does incredibly important work and is helping to shift expectations on contemporary masculinity. We personally wanted to do something to help raise awareness and make this issue more widely known amongst a broad audience.”

Brand & Deliver is a full service creative marketing agency delivering experiential, digital, film, design, partnerships/promotions and marketing to a range of organisations from blue chips to start ups. The agency works with a number of leading technology and entertainment companies to handle promotional partnerships, B2C and B2B event activation, branding and product marketing. Current clients include Radeon Technologies Group, Rovio Global, Warner Brothers, LG, and Three.
