<p>Black History should be celebrated all year round. However, every year we take a moment to recognise the important contribution Black people have made to modern society. This is most important for historical organisations such as the National Trust.</p>



<p>The National Trust, in line with their ‘Everyone Welcome’ Programme have made a commitment to make their spaces, sites and properties accessible to everyone, forever. This spans intersectionality of race, sexuality, and disability. This year for Black History Month the National Trust challenged IPM member agency <strong><a href="https://gottabemarketing.co.uk/"><span class="has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color">GottaBe!</span></a></strong> with telling the story of a Black artist, Richmond Barthé in a way never done before by the Trust. The challenge was to reach Black audiences with a story that resonated with them.</p>



<p>The outcome, a short documentary entitled ‘Inspired by Barthé’ following the story of three contemporary artists and how their own stories resonated with that of Barthé and how these artists stories might resonate with young aspiring artists.</p>

A brand new Blockbuster Video store opened for two days in Shoreditch on Monday 17th September to celebrate Deadpool 2’s Digital Download and Blu-ray release, with the ribbon cut and first customers served by Deadpool 2 fan Lorraine Kelly.</p>
<p>The store was an exact recreation of the original chain that first opened in 1989, but only one movie graced the shelves…. Deadpool 2. With every single shelf stacked with thousands of copies of Deadpool 2, the pop-up promised a free copy to any fan able to track down their original Blockbuster Video membership card, enabling them them to queue jump and claim a limited-edition VHS case containing a digital download code for the film.</p>
<p>Those unable to track down their blue and yellow laminated membership card had another chance to claim a copy – by queuing up at the East London pop-up and displaying their superpower to the cashier, inspired by the film’s X Force audition scenes. This entitled them to a Superhero Edition membership card and a copy of Deadpool 2.</p>
<p>At its peak Blockbuster Video was a global behemoth with 9,000 stores worldwide and 528 in the UK alone but the rise of digital formats saw almost all stores shut from 2010 onwards,<br />
with the last UK store shutting in December 2013. One sole Blockbuster Video remains in the world today, in Bend Oregon, a town where many residents struggle to get internet, with the store recently becoming something of a tourist attraction.</p>
<p>The temporary return of Blockbuster Video to London was welcomed with open arms by a nostalgia-loving generation.</p>

<p>The promotional partnership was put together and is being run by brand partnerships and sales promotions agency Lime Communications. Tim Hook, Head of Brands at Lime, says: “We are delighted to be managing this partnership on behalf of PizzaExpress. Pizza is the favoured choice for friends, getting together for a big night in, so offering a complimentary movie makes perfect sense, and as digital download sales look set to surpass traditional DVD sales in the UK for the first time in 2016 , it couldn’t be a better time to launch this exciting and innovative offer.”</p>
<p>wuaki.tv is a (VOD) streaming service operating in Spain, the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Austria and Ireland. Headquartered in Barcelona, it is owned by Japanese e-commerce and online services giant Rakuten. It provides film club services for a number of companies including EE.</p>

<p>Leeds Rhinos Foundation, the charity set up by rugby league club Leeds Rhinos, has launched a film that showcases the work going on under the foundation’s &#8216;Changing Lives Through Sport&#8217; philosophy.</p>
<p>The film, created by Leeds-based agency, Brass, stars Leeds Rhinos player and Foundation trustee Jamie Jones-Buchanan. It captures how the lives of children and adults in deprived communities across Leeds have been enriched through sport.</p>
<p>Shot at four different locations across the city, to reflect the Charity&#8217;s wide variety of work, the 136 second film shows the Foundation inspiring young people in local schools as well as working with Specialist Inclusive Learning Centres and TryZone Education Centre to improve the lives of adult learners and those with disabilities.</p>
<p>Dr. Neil Kaiper-Holmes, chairman of the Leeds Rhinos Foundation board of trustees, says: &#8220;It has been a long held ambition to have a top quality product that vividly describes what the Foundation is all about. But the costs of production have always been prohibitive for a relatively small charity such as ours, with a turnover of less than a million pounds a year. Thanks to the generosity of in-kind sponsors Brass and Mob Sport, we now have a vehicle to enable us to attract and inform even more sponsors and donors.&#8221;</p>
<p>Following an exclusive premier of the film on Wednesday 21st October at an event to celebrate the Foundation&#8217;s tenth anniversary, the charity&#8217;s strategy to connect emotionally to a new audience continues through adverts, exhibition banners, social media assets, photography kits and a video pack. All this has been created by Brass to help the Foundation raise awareness of its achievements and attract new sponsors.</p>
<p>Since being founded in 2005, the award-winning charity now works with an estimated 50,000 people a year under its five focus pillars of Education, Health, Sport, Art and Heritage.</p>
<p>Brass is a full-service, communications agency which offers digital, research, advertising, design, PR, SEO, media, shopper and promotional marketing to a range of local and national clients. In June, the agency won an IPM Gold Award for its work on the digital element of Lucozade Ribena Suntory’s Lucozade Sports Conditions Zone campaign for the isotonic sports drink.</p>
