Emma, who was part of the IPM 30 Under 30 programme in 2017, has been at TLC Marketing for three years. She previously worked client side in marketing in the automotive and employee engagement industries.

Heading the PR and marketing for TLC in the UK, Ireland and Nordic regions, her board position has been created to lead the end-to-end communication for the agency, ensuring the output and assets of each department are optimised for new business development and agency reputation. She will be responsible for driving the strength of the UK and Irish brand while simultaneously establishing TLC in the Nordics.

Michelle Stacey, Agency Director, says: “As TLC Marketing continue to grow and expand into new markets, it is vital that we have Emma’s enthusiasm and skill set on our Board.”

Emma Lloyd comments: “For the last three years I have been responsible for growing the marketing division, but this role will now require me to contribute to, and make decisions on behalf of, every department. I’m most looking forward to seeing how exposure to the entire business will influence my strategy and decision making going forward.”

John Pearson, General Manager UK, Ireland and Nordics, adds: “At TLC Marketing, we are always looking to attract the very best talent in the industry. People who can propel our ambitious business plans into light. Sometimes, as in the case of Emma, we do that by recognising and encouraging the growth of talent we already have in the agency. Emma is a welcome addition to the UK Board. Her extensive digital client side experience coupled with her achievements to date at TLC Marketing will enhance our already strong team. She will become the seventh member of the UK Board working alongside Claire Watkin, Operations Director; Martin Covill, Director of Business; Rob Scott, Group Creative Director; Michelle Stacey, Agency Director; Aneeka Gohil, Finance Manager; and myself.”

TLC Marketing Worldwide is a global leader in loyalty, incentive and reward campaigns. TLC Marketing UK is a multi-award winning agency and was chosen as the IPM Awards Agency of the Year 2017. It also won The Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade in 2016. In the past two years, clients have included Continental Tyres, Bupa, Pallas Foods, Braun, Eon, HSBC, First Direct and Yakult.

Her hiring brings an all-female creative lead to HeyHuman, alongside Executive Creative Director, Shnoosee Bailey, and Creative Director, Carole Davids.

Brown joins HeyHuman with over a decade’s worth of experience at agencies including Doner (as Associate Creative Director), LIDA (Senior Creative/Copywriter) and Karmarama, where she led the social creative drive for Costa Coffee and Onken.

She began her career as an integrated creative copywriter, learning to craft campaigns through all touchpoints of the customer experience before specialising in the delivery of engaging social content, a skillset she will deploy in her role at HeyHuman.

Brown has worked on integrated campaigns for the likes of Boots, Ikea, and Huawei and, in 2017, handled live social content for London, Paris and Milan Fashion Weeks.

HeyHuman’s Executive Creative Director Shnoosee Bailey says: “The social media landscape is constantly evolving and we need someone on board who understands it implicitly to ensure our client campaigns harness the full potential of the medium. Liz is just the person. Her expertise in creating social content that people want to engage with not only answers a brand need; it fits perfectly with the empathetic, human-first approach we bring to every brief.”

Liz Brown adds: “Social wasn’t even a ‘thing’ when my career started, but it’s where so much important work happens today. The idea of building a story over a period of time, over a variety of platforms, is both an opportunity and a challenge that really appeals to me. Social weaves ideas, things and scenarios directly into people’s lives like no other medium can – you can build a brand and create meaningful relationships this way.”

HeyHuman is an independent behavioural communications agency that specialises in brand, content, social and experiential. With around 100 staff, HeyHuman supports the relationship between brands and consumers via a focus on building ‘Human Brands’ and specialisms in brand, content, social and experiential. Current clients include Sony, Unilever, Diageo, Slimfast and Mondelez.

Cope joins with a heavyweight marketing career under his belt, having worked client and agency side, and has a wealth of promotional and integrated experience to add to the IPM’s talent base.

Cope’s appointment as Managing Director is announced as Carey Trevill steps down after three years in the role. Trevill will be taking on a new direction and leaves the organisation in the early summer. During this period, Cope and Trevill will work closely together to ensure a smooth handover for IPM Members and in the run up to the IPM’s legendary Awards night.

IPM Chairman John Sylvester says: “I would like to thank Carey for the tremendous contribution she has made to the IPM during her tenure. She and her team have worked tirelessly serving our members and keeping the IPM aligned with the rapid change we have seen in the industry over recent years. On a personal note, it has been a great pleasure working alongside Carey and I wish her every success with her future plans.”

Sylvester adds: “I am delighted to welcome Paul to the helm. His knowledge, expertise and experience makes him ideally placed to take the IPM forward and continue the momentum that has built up over the last few years.”

Reporting directly into Creative Director Chris Helliwell, Crease will be leading the agency’s design studio on a day-to-day basis, working to ensure all work adheres to the original creative intent of each project. He will also be mentoring the existing team and recruiting new members.

A multi-award-winning designer with 15 years events industry experience, including large scale automotive events and 3D projection mapping, Crease joins WONDER London after a six-year stint at Stagestruck, where he held positions including Head of 3D and Head of Creative. An industrial design graduate, his past clients include Bentley, BP, Carlsberg, Barclays, Marks and Spencer and Bloomberg.

Chris Helliwell, Creative Director at WONDER London, says: “David is a solutions-based, intelligent designer, with an approach that is perfect for WONDER. Appointing him is a real coup, and he has fit into our culture naturally, and immediately. When you look for design directors there are lots of really creative people out there, but not many with real production knowledge to go with it. This marriage of skills is key to our approach.”

Parkinson’s career in marketing spans 12 years, with the past eight spent focusing on brands and design. He joined Sense from Coley Porter Bell, where he worked across a number of national and international brands.

Heading up Sense’s planning team, Parkinson will work directly with client brands to gain a deep understanding of the challenges they face with the aim of formulating inspiring strategies that will deliver effective, engaging and exciting work.

Nick Adams, Founder and Managing Director of Sense, says: “We’re always looking to grow our skills base in both UK and US with the best possible talent and Dan will be a valuable addition. Planning is a cornerstone to our proposition and plays some part in every campaign we create. Dan will play a key role in developing our planning team and leading creative strategy. Experiential is growing in stature as a marketing discipline and attracting increasing investment and we’re delighted to have Dan on board to help us deliver more outstanding award-winning campaigns.”

Dan Parkinson comments: “So far in my career, I’ve enjoyed the privilege of working on the definition and expression of some of the world’s iconic brands. I’m now really looking forward to contributing to how those brands behave in the real world, which is what drew me to Sense. This a fantastic opportunity to shape strategy and develop the planning team at an independent agency that already has a great client base and an exciting portfolio of award-winning work. Ultimately, the more strategic we are as an agency, the stronger the partnership that we can build with our clients, and the better the campaigns. Getting to do work that starts real conversations with real people was the hook for me.”

With locations in London and New York, Sense is a brand experience agency specialising in real world thinking and ideas. Sense manages experiential marketing campaigns from strategy to evaluation for clients including The Economist, Coca-Cola, Activision, Mars, Canon, Molson Coors, and Mattel. It won the IPM Awards 2017 Grand Prix for its #H2O activation, part of its ‘Discomfort Future’ campaign on behalf of The Economist. This saw potential subscribers offered free coffee apparently made from recycled water from a portable toilet, to highlight the issue of water scarcity around the world. It won two Golds and was selected by the IPM awards judges as the best of the best.
