<p>The EV Centre is a multi-brand showroom which has been designed to offer impartial advice to shoppers. It is staffed by highly trained independent professionals whose brief is to educate and inspire people about the benefits of electric vehicles.</p>
<p>The retail division of experience agency <a href="http://www.tro.com/">TRO</a> was responsible for the design, production and installation of the EV Experience Centre, which features a number of engaging touchpoints to enrich shoppers’ showroom experience.</p>
<p>Ben Taylor, Retail Director at TRO, comments: “We are delighted to be involved in such a ground-breaking project which has taken our expertise in experience into the permanent retail space. Through our knowledge of experience marketing we understand the power of immersive techniques to engage consumers and drive change and ultimately buying habits.  Our involvement from the design and production through to the installation has been delivered end-to-end by our in-house team.”</p>
<p>Chargemaster is responsible for the running and management of the store for its five-year duration. David Martell, Founder and CEO of Chargemaster, says: “Being part of such a high-profile and diverse project is very exciting for Chargemaster. The centre will be the first of its kind and we are sure it will pave the way for other cities to follow. We are looking forward to welcoming Milton Keynes shoppers and showing them everything that going electric has to offer.”</p>
<p>The ground-breaking EV Experience Centre was opened on July 20th 2017 by Jesse Norman MP, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for the Department of Transport. It was developed as part of Milton Keynes’ £9 million ‘Go Ultra Low’ Cities programme, which encourages the uptake of low emission vehicles, with a target of 23% of all car sales being electric or plug-in by 2021.</p>
<p>Founded in 1982, TRO is a global experiential event agency which is connects people and brands through memorable experiences. The agency offers in-house insights, strategy, creative, production, field staffing, digital/social/mobile and measurement departments and has 16 offices in 11 countries around the world.</p>

<p>The event activation was created and managed for Vauxhall by specialist agency TRO.</p>
<p>Taking inspiration from a state-of-the-art service station and in line with Vauxhall’s core innovation messaging, the experience agency built a host of engaging creative technology elements for its main consumer activation.</p>
<p>Visitors were able to partake in the virtual reality driving experience, the digital windscreen defrost challenge and a forecourt ‘airline jukebox’ experience, dramatising the company’s in-car technology. The immersive activity culminated in a fun photo opportunity in the Vauxhall Car Wash.</p>
<p>Additionally, TRO put together a Vauxhall Family Experience, which featured a range of exciting offerings to keep kids entertained, including ADAM tot car racing, Robokeeper (beat the robotic goalie), and a ‘Football Frenzy’ scoring game.</p>
<p>There were also climbing trees, a zip line, ball pools, face painting and a chance for children of all ages to colour-in a Vauxhall car. Finally, parents were able to swap their usual child buggy for a cool child wagon to explore the rest of the event.</p>

<p>The giveaway was unveiled at the Lee Valley Velopark in Stratford by Britain’s most successful Olympian and Nissan ambassador, Sir Chris Hoy, who introduced the first gold Nissan LEAF.</p>
<p>“It’s always exciting and nostalgic to come back to the Velopark, after winning my fifth and sixth gold medals here,” said Sir Chris. “For all of the Nissan athletes going to Rio, the 2016 Games will be a moment in their careers that they will never forget, whether they win a medal or not. But let’s hope they can do it – compete at their best and come home with gold. It would be fantastic to hand over one of these special gold Nissan LEAFs on their return.”</p>
<p>Chris Marsh, Nissan Motor GB Marketing Director added: “Giving our gold medal-winning Nissan athletes a gold Nissan LEAF is our way of celebrating their incredible successes. Nissan is fully behind all of the GB athletes heading to Rio but will of course be keeping a close eye out for those we have individually supported over the course of the Games’ cycle on their road to Rio 2016.”</p>
<p>Nissan athletes who win Gold in Rio will receive their golden LEAF on their return from Brazil. Nissan stresses that there will only be one car per athlete, no matter how many Gold medals they win.</p>
<p>One of the gold wrapped Nissan LEAFs will be on display at Nissan’s Innovation Station at The O2 in London from 26th July throughout the whole Games period.</p>
<p>Nissan is the Official Automotive Partner to Team GB and ParalympicsGB. The Gold LEAF is one of a number of other Nissan Rio related activities in the build-up to the Games, including Nissan’s Ultimate Sports Day, the Nissan Olympic fleet announcement and the Usain Bolt vs Fire campaign.</p>
<p>Nissan ambassadors include Team GB members Katarina Johnson-Thompson (Heptathlon); Liam Phillips (BMX Racing); Max Whitlock (Gymnastics); Becky James (Track cycling); Kat Copeland MBE (Rowing); Lynsey Sharp (800m); George Nash (Rowing); Laura Weightman (1500m); Eilish McColgan (5000m); and Ciara Horne (Cycling).</p>
