The exciting new partnership is now live in nine shops in London, Newcastle and Glasgow, acting as delivery hubs to serve over 1 million households across the three cities. To help hungry Greggs fans join in the celebration, Just Eat is offering free delivery on all orders, with no minimum spend.

A team of designers took two weeks to customise the classic Triumph Bonneville, which now features a six-foot sausage sidecar in tribute to the iconic savoury treat.

The campaign was devised by creative PR agency Taylor Herring who are working alongside the Just Eat PR to promote the partnership.

The bespoke delivery vehicle idea was inspired by the push-bike that Greggs founder John Gregg used in the 1930s to deliver his baked goods. The bike will go on a tour covering over 400 miles in three days, visiting London, Newcastle and Glasgow. The Sausage Roll sidecar hit the road for the first time accompanied by self-confessed Greggs fan, and King of the Jungle, Joe Swash.

As part of the activation fans will be able to take a snap of themselves in the bespoke Sausage Roll sidecar and enjoy free Sausage Rolls and Vegan Sausage Rolls* as it visits Glasgow, Buchanan Street on the 5th of July (11am-2pm) and Newcastle, Northumberland Street on 6th July (11am-2pm) to celebrate the launch of the service.

Joe Swash said: “With Greggs now on Just Eat, breakfast and lunch just got infinitely better! Their Bacon Rolls are my favourite, I reckon I’ll be putting a few cheeky orders in myself!”

Graham Corfield, Managing Director of Just-Eat Group, said; “We’re delighted to welcome Greggs to Just Eat bringing customers even more of their favourite food brands at the tap of the app. Britain’s love affair with Greggs isn’t slowing down so what better way to celebrate than with a speedy Sausage Roll-inspired delivery bike!”

Hannah Squirrell, Customer Director at Greggs, added: “We’re thrilled to be working with Just Eat to make it even easier for our customers to enjoy their breakfast and lunch menu favourites. From Bacon Rolls and Coffees to our range of Bakes, Sandwiches and Wraps, we’ll be able to go direct to the doorsteps of more than a million hungry households.”

The new partnership enables customers in London, Newcastle and Glasgow to order a select range of Greggs’ savoury and sweet menu items via Just Eat with no minimum spend, including Greggs’ famous Sausage Rolls, Vegan Sausage Rolls, Steak Bakes, Doughnuts, Bacon Rolls and Coffees – perfect for breakfast or lunch. Customers can order for delivery from 8am in both Glasgow and Newcastle and from 7am in London.

Greggs is available to order on Just Eat in London, Newcastle, and Glasgow, from today. Customers can check out whether delivery is available in their postcode here: https://www.just-eat.co.uk/takeaway/brands/greggs

The Pizza Wall was designed by integrated agency tpf, and made up of 24 “pizza box” hinged doors branded with both the Just Eat and PizzaExpress logos.

Members of the public were invited to lift the lid on one of the 24 pizza boxes to see if they would win a prize. Each box contained a “pizza slice” with either a winning message of money off a PizzaExpress order through Just Eat or a fascinating pizza fact. Everyone taking part received 10% of their next Just Eat order.

The eight-hour activation saw more than 1,000 people took part in the experience, while an estimated 20,000 plus people were exposed to the brand.

tpf managed the project from concept through to on-the-day organisation, balancing the overall look and feel to ensure clear delivery of key messages.

Gail Middleton, director at tpf, says: “The Pizza Wall combines both iconic brands, and taps into the excitement and anticipation everyone feels as they prepare to open their takeaway box for a delicious slice of Sloppy Giuseppe or American Hot.”

There are four London PizzaExpress restaurants which now take orders through the Just Eat app – Spitalfields, Euston, Royal Festival Hall and Notting Hill – with more restaurants to be added soon.

The work follows on from tpf’s first project for Just Eat in November last year, an experiential campaign which took over Bristol’s Anchor Square. The activity introduced E-A-T (Emotion Analysis Technology) which combined cutting edge face scanning and emotion mapping technology to analyse consumers’ faces and tell them what food they were in the mood for.

tpf is an independent agency specialising in promotions, publicity and digital marketing in TV, sport and entertainment.
