<p>This is the 13th consecutive year that McDonald’s has teamed up with Monopoly’s owner, global toy and game company <span style="color: #0000ff;"><a style="color: #0000ff;" href="http://www.hasbro.com/">Hasbro</a></span>, for a promotion themed around the classic board game. The annual McDonald&#8217;s Monopoly campaign is one of the biggest promotions in the world, if not the biggest, in terms of prizes.</p>
<p>The promotion is open to consumers aged 16 or over who are UK, Isle of Man or Channel Islands&#8217; residents. There is a No Purchase Necessary route for Northern Irish consumers.</p>
<p>There are four ways consumers can win prizes by collecting the game stickers which come with McDonald’s menu items:</p>
<ul>
<li>Instant Win – peel and reveal one of millions of prizes to win instantly. Prizes include £25,000 cash, MINI cars, Xbox One X game consoles, cameras, speakers, experience vouchers, cinema tickets, fashion vouchers and Sky passes.</li>
<li>Collect to Win – collect and complete property sets from the classic Monopoly board to win prizes including £100,000 cash, holidays to Universal Orlando theme park, games consoles, speakers, NOW TV passes, fashion vouchers and experience vouchers.</li>
<li>Online Win – all stickers carry a unique 10 character code which can be entered online at <span style="color: #0000ff;"><a style="color: #0000ff;" href="http://www.mcdonalds.co.uk/monopoly">mcdonalds.co.uk/monopoly</a></span> for the chance to win instant prizes every minute including cash, Deezer premium subscriptions and CeX vouchers, Sky Store vouchers and millions of other prizes.</li>
<li>Finally, the ‘Got 10 Spares Game’ allows consumers to turn any 10 property sticker combinations into a Sky pass allowing them to get one day of Sky Sports or one month of Sky Entertainment, Sky Cinema or Sky Kids. Players can claim up to three passes during the lifetime of the promotion, but they have to be different.</li>
</ul>
<p>The total prize pool on offer includes four lots of £100,000 (for getting both Mayfair and Park Lane), four lots of £25,000 in cash (instant win prizes), 20 MINIs, 20 Universal Orlando trips, 500 Xbox One X games consoles, 13,000 bundles of a NOW TV box and annual pass, Best Western Hotel breaks, Red Letter Day vouchers, Missguided or Mennace fashion vouchers, KitSound Wireless Speakers, Sony Action cameras, Mello skateboard kits, cinema tickets, PrezzyBox.com vouchers plus a range of online retailer discount vouchers and free McDonald’s menu items.</p>
<p>The promotion was created by The Marketing Store, which has been working on the McDonald’s Monopoly promotions for many years, with advertising created by Leo Burnett London.</p>

<p>Kraft Heinz and Hasbro, owner of the Play-Doh brand, stress that both brands are long-time family favourites – Play-Doh was launched in 1956 while Heinz Pasta has been available for many decades.</p>
<p>The promotion will include limited edition labels featuring the Play-Doh brand and characters across all Kraft Heinz Pasta multipacks.</p>
<p>To enter the daily draw, consumers have to purchase a promotional product from and submit their details and an image of the receipt for the purchase at <a href="http://www.HeinzPlayDohPrizes.co.uk">www.HeinzPlayDohPrizes.co.uk</a>.</p>
<p>As well as running on Kraft Heinz multipack products, the campaign will be promoted across the <a href="http://www.heinz.co.uk/">Heinz UK website</a> as well as Play-Doh and Kraft Heinz social channels, with the packs available on shelves up until December 17th.</p>
<p>The giveaway features on an assortment of Heinz multipacks, including the Heinz Hoops 4-pack and 3-pack, the Heinz Hoops No Added Sugar 4-pack and 3-pack, as well as the Heinz Spaghetti 4-pack.</p>

Play-Doh is the perfect partner to help us deliver more smiles at mealtimes! <p>The tour will be visiting cities across the country this summer, welcoming fans aboard the toy range’s signature pink double-decker bus, where they will be able to explore Equestria, the magical world of ponies, and celebrate the positive power of this unique children’s brand.</p>
<p>New for 2017, children will have the chance to ‘Get Ponified’ with free cutie-mark face painting at one of the tour’s new Ponification Stations.</p>
<p>Kids will be able to play with the latest toys, watch clips from the new movie, and enjoy a series of unique My Little Pony experiences including creating their own My Little Pony Selfie GIF with scenes from the new movie or favourite locations from the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic TV show.</p>
<p>Visitors will also be given an exclusive Friendship Points code to use online at the My Little Pony Friendship Club.</p>
<p>The tour started in Liverpool on July 26<sup>th</sup>, 2017, and finishes at The Big Feastival at the end of August. In addition to Liverpool, it has already visited the Bullring, Birmingham; Fosse Shopping Park, Leicester; Cribbs Causeway Retail Park, Bristol; Castlepoint Shopping Park, Bournemouth; Gunwharf Quays, Portsmouth; Two Rivers, Staines; Gallions Reach Shopping Park, London; Bluewater; and the Bristol Balloon Fiesta. Its next appearance is at the St. David’s Centre, Cardiff on August 15<sup>th</sup>, followed by Middlebrook Retail Park, Lancashire (August 19<sup>th</sup>), Ravenhead Retail Park, St. Helens (August 20<sup>th</sup>) and The Big Feastival at Alex James’s farm in the Cotswolds (August 25<sup>th</sup>-27<sup>th</sup>).</p>

<p>The Nerf Test Centre sees the shipping container which Nerf has used for previous promotional roadshows transformed to feature a never-before-seen photo opportunity area with suspended cars.</p>
<p>Consumers can try out the new Regulator blaster from the Modulus range and can experience its new SwitchFire technology, while car-crazy children will be able to try out the latest Nitro MotoFury blaster, a brand-new range of Nerf guns which shoot miniature toy vehicles instead of darts.</p>
<p>Those entering the Nerf Test Centre will be able to learn about the evolution of Nerf, discover fun Nerf facts and will have the opportunity to test out vintage Nerf products. All consumers will leave the Nerf Test Centre experience with their own Nerf wristbands, driving licenses and sticker sets.</p>
<p>The brand experience was created for Nerf by award-winning brand experience agency, i2i Marketing.</p>
<p>The tour will visit six locations nationwide, including: Wimbledon Piazza (July 28<sup>th</sup> &#8211; 29<sup>th</sup>), Smithy Row, Nottingham (August 3<sup>rd</sup> – 5<sup>th</sup>), Bristol Balloon Fiesta (August 10<sup>th</sup> – 13<sup>th</sup>), Briggate, Leeds (August 18<sup>th</sup> – 20<sup>th</sup>), Trafford Centre, Manchester (August 22<sup>nd</sup> – 28<sup>th</sup>) and The Bullring, Birmingham (September 1<sup>st</sup> – 3<sup>rd</sup>).</p>

<p>Hasbro’s PLAY-DOH brand is visiting cities across the UK this summer with its Imagination Tour roadshow, encouraging families to have fun and be creative with the PLAY-DOH brand through a number of hands-on activities.</p>
<p>The tour, created for PLAY-DOH by experiential agency iD, started in Southampton on April 19 2017 and will be visiting six different locations:</p>
<ul>
<li>Geronimo Festival, Warrington – May 27-29</li>
<li>Westfield, Stratford – July 26-30</li>
<li>Metrocentre, Newcastle – August 2-6</li>
<li>Bristol Balloon Fiesta – August 10-13</li>
<li>Birmingham Bullring – September 13-17</li>
</ul>
<p>The interactive event has been designed to give curious thinkers and little explorers the opportunity to experience creative play with PLAY-DOH compound, Hasbro says. Entering through a giant PLAY-DOH tub, children can head straight to the play tables where they can create anything they wish with endless pots of PLAY-DOH compound at their fingertips.</p>
<p>Next, they can test their culinary creativity at the Kitchens Creations station where they can make wacky food creations. Once complete, they can share their culinary masterpieces at the photo board for a special picture with the Doh-Doh brand character as a keepsake.</p>
<p>They will also have the chance to try out PLAY-DOH TOUCH, the immersive app that brings sculpted PLAY-DOH creations to life in a new virtual PLAY-DOH world.</p>

<p>This is the 12th consecutive year that McDonald’s has teamed up with Monopoly’s owner Hasbro for a game-themed promotion. McDonald’s has also announced that to celebrate the launch of the game promotion, it is bringing back the Cadbury Creme Egg McFlurry and Cadbury Caramel McFlurry products for a limited time.</p>
<p>This year sees McDonald’s and Hasbro offer customers a number of different ways to participate and win – including a new fourth way to play.</p>
<p>Each game sticker now has a multipurpose and allows customers the opportunity to win whatever way they play. These include:</p>
<ul>
<li>Instant Win – peel and reveal one of millions of prizes to win instantly</li>
<li>Collect to Win – collect and complete property sets to win prizes</li>
<li>Online Win – stickers carry a unique nine-digit code which can be entered online at <span style="color: #0000ff;"><a style="color: #0000ff;" href="http://www.mcdonalds.co.uk/monopoly"><span style="color: #0000ff;">mc</span>donalds.co.uk/monopoly</a></span> for the chance to win cash every minute, Deezer premium subscriptions and CEX vouchers, plus millions of other prizes.</li>
</ul>
<p>New for 2017, the fourth way to play allows customers to turn any 10 property sticker combinations into a Now TV pass with winners choosing between a one month’s Sky Cinema pass, a one month’s Entertainment Pass, a one month’s Kids pass or a one day Sky Sport’s pass.</p>
<p>Prizes on offer include four lots of £100,000 (for getting both Mayfair and Park Lane), four lots of £25,000 in cash (instant win prizes), 20 MINIs, 150 £1,500 Airtours vouchers, 500 Sony PlayStation 4 games consoles, 13,000 bundles of a NOW TV box and annual pass, Best Western Hotel breaks, Monopoly sets, Red Letter Day vouchers, BooHoo.com vouchers, KitSound Wireless Speakers, Sony cameras, Mello skateboard kits, cinema tickets, PrezzyBox.com vouchers plus discount vouchers and free McDonald’s menu items.</p>

<p>Bop It! delivers a series of commands that players must follow to win. The classic pull it, twist it and bop it actions have now grown to include a whole new range of moves, such as Whip It, Drink It, Selfie It, Answer It, Hammer It, Sing It, Golf It, Cradle It, Comb It and Saw It! And the autumn 2016 Bop It! experience, created and run by real world marketing agency Sense, challenges shoppers to try the new actions and ‘prove they’ve got the moves’.</p>
<p>“The central feature of this fun and cheeky 10-week tour is the ‘GIF It A Go!’ booth, where visitors can try out the latest Bop It! moves and have them turned into a funny GIF video for social sharing,” explained Sense Senior Account Director Nick Swift. “Those who share their GIFs online get a chance to win their choice of Hasbro Gaming games, while a partnership with toy retailer The Entertainer pushes consumers in-store to collect their prizes.”</p>
<p>The Bop It! experience will be live at UK shopping centres across October, November and into December.</p>

As an extremely popular product with children, we’re thrilled to be partnering with Play-Doh to continue celebrating Ready Brek’s integral place in the modern family home.”</p>
<p>Craig Wilkins, marketing director, Hasbro UK &amp; Ireland, said: “Play-Doh and Ready Brek are both iconic, nostalgic brands for parents that are much loved by kids across the country – it was a natural collaboration for us. As we celebrate our 60th Anniversary this year, we’re delighted that our partnership with Ready Brek enables us to offer parents added value when purchasing new Play-Doh products.”</p>
<p>Ready Brek and Play-Doh were both launched at almost exactly the same time: 1956 for Play-Doh and 1957 for Ready Brek. After going through various owners including General Mills, Play-Doh has ended up with toy giant Hasbro. Ready Brek was originally launched by J Lyons &amp; Co and is now owned and manufactured by Weetabix.</p>
<p>Originally called a ‘smooth porridge’ it was rebranded as a breakfast cereal for kids in the late 1960s – with the famous advertising slogan ‘Central heating for kids’; with the resurgence in popularity of porridge in recent years, the product is again been marketed as porridge.</p>

<p>The My Little Pony Friendship Tour invites visitors aboard a striking pink double-decker bus, where they will be able to explore Equestria, the magical world of ponies, and celebrate the positive power of this unique children’s brand.</p>
<p>The campaign has been put together for Hasbro by integrated and experiential marketing specialist agency Sense.</p>
<p>Kids will be able to play with the latest toys, watch episodes of the TV show and enjoy a series of unique My Little Pony experiences, from makeovers to Pony selfies</p>
<p>Visitors will also be given an exclusive Friendship Points code to use online at the My Little Pony Friendship Club.</p>
<p>The tour kicked off at the St David’s shopping centre in Cardiff at the end of March and will be appearing throughout the summer at various locations, including the Geronimo Festival and the Bristol Balloon Fiesta.</p>
<p>Craig Wilkins, Marketing Director at Hasbro, says: “We are excited to take the My Little Pony franchise on the road this Easter. With so many amazing activities, we cannot wait for fans to experience My Little Pony across the country for the very first time.”</p>
<p>“The Friendship Tour is a brilliant way for children to immerse themselves in the world of My Little Pony through a fun and exciting experience,” adds Lynsey Horsfield, Account Director at Sense.</p>

<p>It is the 11<sup>th</sup> year in a row that McDonald’s UK has teamed up with global toy and game company Hasbro to create a Monopoly themed promotion. In Monopoly Prize Choice, players will have the chance to win over 55 million prizes, the largest pool of prizes McDonald’s has ever offered.</p>
<p>The big difference this year is that prize winners are being given more of a choice in what they get – for example, players can win a holiday and choose between jetting off to California, Thailand or New Zealand, as well as choosing trips and activities to get involved in when they land. Winners of a Mini Cooper, can choose from the 3-door Hatch, Countryman or Clubman.</p>
<p>The choice element also extends to the smaller prizes on offer: so, for example, winners of one of the food prizes on offer can choose between a Big Mac or Quarter Pounder, McFlurry or Cheeseburger.</p>
<p>The Marketing Store, which has been working on the McDonald’s Monopoly promotions for years, has developed the new campaign concept, after consumer research showed McDonald’s customers cherish life experiences over material possessions.</p>
<p>The prize pool has therefore been refreshed with this in mind, with specially selected prizes to ensure winners have an unforgettable experience.</p>
<p>The multimedia marketing campaign for the promotion showcases choice at every touchpoint, including out of home, packaging, in-store, social posts, community management and website, all designed to bring the concept of choice to life.</p>
<p>Working with Leo Burnett London, choice has been activated through a TV advertising campaign that gives viewers the power to choose what their TV adverts look like each week. Through the use of Twitter polls, viewers can choose from a range of thrilling and daring stunts inspired by the prize pool.</p>
<p>Steve Howells, Head of Marketing at McDonald’s, said, “For the 11th year of McDonald’s Monopoly, we wanted to re-invigorate the promotion and make it bigger and better than ever before. With choice at every level of the prize pool, we are empowering our customers by giving them a say in every win; from choosing their holiday destination all the way through to choosing between a Cheeseburger and a McFlurry.”</p>
<p>Howells adds: “With millions of prizes to be won, the theme of choice is brought to life across all of our marketing activity, and we are hugely excited to be putting the power in the hands of our customers by allowing them to choose what our next TV advert looks like each week.”</p>
<p>Sav Evangelou, Executive Creative Director at The Marketing Store, said, “We aimed to create a brand experience more than a promotion because customers said they loved the experience of gameplay. In 2015 when we gave customers props and prompts like wearable Mr Monopoly moustaches, they captured the experience and shared it across their social networks, so we’re keen to see how customers will respond to a campaign that gives them even more to talk about.”</p>
<p>Monopoly Prize Choice will build on the success of the 2015 Golden Chances Monopoly game, which awarded a record 9.3 million prizes and delivered 18.5 million online entries.</p>
<p>The Marketing Store will also support the promotion with online and mobile gameplay and offer more ways to engage on social media following last year’s 75,000 direct interactions across Twitter and Facebook, and 18m online game plays.</p>
<p>Additionally, McDonald’s will run a Monopoly Prize Choice game for McDonald’s 100,000 UK restaurant employees, which will be live in parallel with the consumer promotion.</p>
<p>In the US, McDonald&#8217;s will be introducing Money Monopoly – with instant win cash prizes plus a grand prize draw for $1m – on March 29<sup>th</sup>.</p>
<p>McDonald&#8217;s first linked up with game company Hasbro to license the Monopoly intellectual property rights for a game in 1987 and has been running Monopoly-based promotions ever since.</p>
