npower is launching a cash back deal to reward consumers who do not make a claim.

If consumers do not call out npower’s hometeam to work on their boiler during the 12 month care plan, npower will automatically return 50% of the value of the plan to the customer on their anniversary.

The hometeam 50 plan, which costs £126 per year, includes an annual boiler service, usually costing £74.

The service was devised after npower polled customers and found 78% wanted cash back on cover plans which are not used.
