McDonald's launches the Retro Glasses promotion
Customers will receive a free limited edition Retro Coke Glass celebrating the 125th anniversary of Coke, with every purchase of a Large Extra Value Meal or Premium Salad.
There will be six different Retro Coke Glasses, each one dedicated to a different era in Coke’s history.
The Marketing Store worked with McDonald’s from the outset of this campaign, from initial glass designs, consumer research, to designing the celebration ribbon concept for the in-store POP, which will extend into the campaign’s TV and outdoor activity.
The Coke Glasses campaign has a new digital activation using Facebook. Customers will be able to give their own photos a retro-style makeover via the ‘McDonald’s Flashback Booth’ app created by The Marketing Store. Flashback Booth users can then publish their photos on their Facebook page for their friends to see and comment on.
Steve Howells, senior marketing manager at McDonald’s, says: “Our Coke Glasses promotion is back for its sixth year at McDonald’s and it is a promotion that remains hugely popular with our customers.
“This year’s promotion is set to be the most exciting one yet, because together with TMS, we have developed an integrated and interactive digital campaign which will enable our customers to have fun with their friends using a newly designed app; Flashback Booth and Facebook.”
