Consumers are being invited to start baking every week, share their efforts with friends, families, colleagues and communities, and raise money for the NSPCC and its ‘Full Stop’ program.
Green’s has incorporated a fundraising element by inviting keen bakers to make donations from cake sales to the NSPCC. Meanwhile the charity is simultaneously promoting ‘Stop for Tea’ which encourages people to fundraise through local tea parties.
‘Stop for Tea’ invitations, posters and fundraising packs are available for download on the Green’s website www.greenscakes.co.uk, and a Justgiving page has also been created.
Web design agency Proteus Virtual has updated the Green’s website to offer information on Green’s Tuesday and enhance it as a resource to support parents, with recipes, downloadable calendars, tips and games to entertain the children and special offers.
Sara Gardner, Category Development Controller, Home Baking, Kerry Foods comments; “We created the concept of ‘Green's Tuesday’ to provide a platform to communicate our brand values of sharing and caring through baking at the same time as encouraging the nation to raise money for charity on an on-going basis.”
