Senator, the leading manufacturer of promotional writing instruments, has launched a carbon neutral and PEFC (Program for the Endorsement of Forest Certification Schemes) certified catalogue for 2011.

The Senator Pen Collection 2011 has been produced in conjunction with print shops that are certified carbon neutral in their production process.

Senator’s commitment to sustainable development and corporate social responsibility is further demonstrated by the catalogue’s PEFC certification.

PEFC is an independent, non-profit, non-governmental organisation dedicated to promoting sustainably managed forests through independent third party certification.

Melissa Chevin, marketing manager at Senator, says: “Environmental consciousness and sustainability is at the heart of Senator’s corporate mindset. Every one of Senator’s plastic pens contains part recycled material and 100% of the component parts in the range are non-air freighted.

“In addition, any leftover material is re-engineered and deleted pen lines are sent to charities for use. The carbon neutral production of the 2011 catalogue and the PEFC certification is further evidence of our commitment to addressing environmental issues.”
