Orange has launched a contactless prepaid MasterCard card, Orange Cash, which entitles users to rewards that can be used on the customers’ Orange Pay As You Go mobile phones.

Users will get one Orange prepaid reward point for every £1 spent, which they will be able to redeem online for free texts, airtime, credit on Orange Pay As You Go phones or vouchers for use in Orange shops.

The prepaid card has been developed for Orange by prepaid services company PrePay Solutions. Orange expects the card to appeal particularly to younger users, particularly students and first time bank users.

The Orange Cash prepaid card cost £5 and can be loaded with up to £5,000 at over 22,000 shops and petrol stations across the UK with the PayPoint logo, at 12,000 Post Offices, 450 Orange Retail stores and online on the Orange Cash website.

Users will be able to manage their Orange Cash account from their mobile and use them to top up Orange Pay As You Go phones and transfer cash between Orange Cash cards.
