House of Fraser vouchers redeem online

Sun 21st Sep 2008
House of Fraser has become one of the first companies to make it possible for their paper vouchers to be redeemed online.
The new service comes with the launch of the retailer’s fully transactional website this month at www.houseoffraser.co.uk.
“The system is easy to use in that each paper voucher has a foil scratch-off panel revealing a unique code which the recipient inputs when using their voucher to purchase online,” explains Catherine Forrest, business incentives manager.
The voucher can be used on more than one occasion, with the balance saved for a future purchase, she added. “This service even allows part payment so that if tthe customer has a £50 voucher and only spends £25, our system knows to retain the balance of £25 for further online purchases.“
“The launch of our multi-channel voucher will be hugely popular and convenient for gift voucher recipients.”
“This is an easy-to-use, valuable offering and a great selling point for House of Fraser because of the huge increase in online shopping. So many people are short of time nowadays, and this will enable them to spend their House of Fraser vouchers on our vast range of prestigious brands that are now available online.
“Recent research has shown that online retail purchases are growing at a rate ten times higher than the rest of the retail market.
Only a handful of vouchers and gift cards can be used online after the first web-redeemable voucher was launched by John Lewis four years ago.
