A milestone for cinema incentives

Filmology has reached a milestone in cinema history having issued its 1,500,000th cinema voucher as an incentive reward.

Launched at the beginning of 2007 as the first incentives company dedicated to creating and managing film-related promotions, Filmology has since been responsible for numerous, high profile on-pack promotions with brands including Mars, MasterCard and T-Mobile.

Filmology has carved its place in the incentive market through its exclusive relationships with the leading cinema chains in the UK, including ODEON and Cineworld, Empire, Apollo, Showcase as well as over 200 independently owned cinemas that participate in the Independent Cinema Ticket programme.

David Pearson, director of Filmology, says: “Reaching the one and a half million milestone is a real achievement, but we could not have done this without first becoming the experts in the industry and then nurturing strong relationships with the UK cinema industry. We now work with 70 per cent of the market nationwide with a network of over 400 cinema partners including the leading cinema houses and a range of independently-owned cinemas.

“Film and cinema based promotions remain amongst the most effective and popular types of sales promotion in the UK due to their widespread accessibility, universal appeal and the popularity of the medium. They also offer the added experiential value that is associated with watching the latest blockbuster on the big screen. What’s more, what other campaign offers a reward that changes every week?”
