SMP has appointed Adele Pett (pictured) as head of direct marketing to support the agency’s drive to develop its client base across a wide range of vertical sectors.
She will be responsible for managing the entire direct marketing offering within SMP which includes direct mail, email, mail, SMS, digital and customer-relationship management.
Her client portfolio consists of major blue-chip brands such as 3M, UniChem, DSGI, Nikon and Eclipse.
She will also play a fundamental part in the agency’s new business drive by further developing existing and potential clients. She is also looking to grow her team significantly over the coming months.
Prior to joining SMP, Pett was marketing account director at marketing communications agency SR Communications where she focused on acquiring new and developing existing clients through strategic planning and development. Her clients included Nestlé Purina, Bakers Complete and Royal Mail.
“SMP has a great reputation within the industry and I was particularly drawn to the agency’s strong focus on creativity both online and offline,” Pett said. “With my experience and understanding of the industry, I look forward to developing strong client relationships and adding value to the agency by growing the existing client base.”
Simon Mahoney, founding partner at SMP, said: “Adele was appointed due to her excellent track record within the industry and her experience working across a number of high-profile blue-chip brands.
“I am confident that with her knowledge and expertise she will play a key part in the company’s strategic development and will work with the existing management team to identify potential clients for SMP.”
