23red appoints award-winning copywriter

23red has appointed Robert Steeles as its new Head of Copy.

Steeles joins 23red having worked at a number of major agencies, including LIDA/M&C Saatchi, Publicis Dialog, Wunderman, TBWA and Rapp.

As senior copywriter at LIDA, Steeles was the lead creative for Sportingbet.com as well as Porsche Cars GB. He also assisted the agency’s creative and strategic development on a range of clients: MINI, Vodafone, NatWest/RBS, Carphone Warehouse and Central Office of Information (COI).

At 23red his client experience will be bought to bear across key accounts such as COI, The Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF), Change4Life and Bacardi.

Steeles has won major awards including the Cannes Poster award, the Cannes Gold Lion award and two Silver’s at the DMA International ECHO awards. His charity and public service work was also shortlisted at the Campaign Big Awards at the end of 2009.
