Namco Bandai Family Trainer sampling tour

Mon 2nd Nov 2009
Namco Bandai Games is running a nationwide sampling tour of multiple grocers for its new Family Trainer: Extreme Challenge computer game for the Nintendo Wii.
The tour has been put together for Namco Bandai by Sublime Promotions, the experiential division of Lime Communications, and will visit Tesco and Asda stores across the UK. Namco Bandai wants to build on the success of previous instalments in the Family Trainer series as well as engage with potential new players.
The game-trialling space had to be equally attractive to all ages and sexes, given the game’s wide target audience. Sublime worked closely with Namco Bandai, developing a bespoke modular sampling unit that allows consumers to trial the game via Family Trainer’s gaming mat peripheral. The sampling unit incorporates four Nintendo Wii consoles and has been designed so that it can be broken down into progressively smaller sections, taking advantage of the variety of layouts and spatial restrictions at multiple grocer sites.
Panasonic provided four top-of-the-range HD ready Viera LCD screens complete with Freesat and a special Game Mode. One of the Viera screens will also be used as the prise in a free prize draw at the end of the tour.
