Diageo GB is to hand out tens of thousands of free bottles of water tonight and tomorrow night (Friday 16 December and Saturday 17 December), two of the busiest party nights of 2011, to encourage party goers to drink responsibly this festive season.

Teams will be operating at some of central London’s busiest underground tube stations – Liverpool Street, Leicester Square and Westminster – to give away the water.

The free water bottles have tips for responsible drinking to help people enjoy their night out. The tips remind people to alternate water with each alcoholic drink to stay hydrated and to eat before or during a night out to help to slow alcohol absorption.

This give-away is part of Diageo’s ongoing commitment to promoting responsible drinking and will also see Diageo sponsor free travel on London Tubes, buses, trams and some trains on New Year’s Eve plus an advertising campaign across almost 180 stations and on 960 Tube carriages.
