Red Bull X-Fighters to tour UK
Energy drink Red Bull is bringing the finale of its Red Bull X-Fighters World Series Motocross stunt show to London’s Battersea Power Station this August.
The event features 12 leading Freestyle Motocross riders performing gravity-defying tricks on motorbikes in a battle for the world title in front of an audience of 17,000 people.
In advance of the finale, the Red Bull X-Fighters team will perform a series of free displays in city centres around the UK, visiting Glasgow, Birmingham, Leeds, and Bournemouth during July.
Backed by a £3million marketing investment including a national above-the-line campaign, the event will also be broadcast live on TV channel Dave. Red Bull expects pubs and bars will screen the event. A range of POS, interactive and screen content will also be supporting the event.
Red Bull head of on-trade, Jamie Rake, says: “Summer is an important time for soft drink sales and our national event has always helped to put more cash through tills. Last year, during the Air Race, we had our biggest single month’s sales in the company’s history with 36 million cans flying off the shelves. We expect X Fighters to have a similar impact.”
