The Trentham Estate, an award-winning leisure destination in Staffordshire, has linked with hugely-successful book series The Dangerous Book for Boys to create a series of interactive survival skills events for families.

Branded under the Dangerous Book for Boys name, free events are running on Saturdays and Sundays until the end of August. The events teach hands-on survival skills and how to live with nature. They include constructing a den, fire building, foraging for food, finding north and making tools, all under the supervision of trained experts.

A free Dangerous Book for Boys Guide to Trentham has also been produced, with Dangerous Book-style tips on the best places on the Estate to collect conkers, find trees to climb, fly kites and hide in prairie grass.
