UEFA appoints iris to create UEFA Champions Festival 2009 in Rome

iris has been appointed by UEFA and its partners to create a celebration for football fans in the run up to the UEFA Champions League Final.
iris, which won the business following a tender, will create a five-day festival in Rome to unite fans and help them celebrate one of the world’s leading sporting events.
Hosted around the iconic Roman landmark of the Coliseum, iris’ experiential arm iris Experience will be tasked with launching an extensive programme of events, which will take place from 23rd to 27th May 2009.
Visitors will enjoy a variety of entertainment including the Champions Gallery (a movie experience of the European Champion Clubs’ Cup and UEFA Champions League), the Champions Museum, showcasing the history of football, the Young Champions tournament and a main stage to showcase a range of acts and live entertainment.
