Silverpop’s Evans on DMA Email Council

Richard Evans, director of marketing EMEA for Silverpop, the marketing technology provider offering advanced email marketing and marketing automation solutions, has been unanimously co-opted onto the board of the Direct Marketing Association’s (DMA) Email Marketing Council.

Richard’s new role on the Email Marketing Council will involve contributing to and driving forward a variety of initiatives to set industry guidelines and promote best practices in email marketing.

Richard has been a member of the DMA’s Email Marketing Council since his arrival in the UK in 2010. During this time he has been an active contributor to the public discourse around email marketing through regular blogging and co-editing the fortnightly email newsletter Infobox.

With more than ten years of experience in email marketing, Richard joined Silverpop in 2005, most recently leading the company’s product marketing efforts from its North American headquarters in Atlanta before moving to the UK to lead the company’s European marketing.

Richard Gibson, chairman of the DMA Email Marketing Council, DMA says: “Richard is well known and respected amongst his industry peers and so he was a natural choice to vote into the DMA’s coveted Email Marketing Council.

“His deep industry knowledge and experience, coupled with an infectious passion for email marketing trends and issues will be a great asset. We’re very happy to have him on board.”
