Virgin Mobile activates Big Brother sponsorship
Devised by creative agency Crossing O’Sullivan, the campaign visited 27 town centres and 15 Virgin offices, giving people a chance to sit in a replica Big Brother diary room chair.
Photos of them were taken on Samsung camera phones and prints of the experience were given free, in addition to a 25 per cent discount on a Samsung phone.
Travelling by bus, the brand experience drew “huge crowds of enthusiastic fans” by parking in prominent locations, with the top-floor “Diary Room” open to view and a stylish Virgin Mobile showroom downstairs.
A dedicated team of Crossing O’Sullivan promotional staff were joined by some of this year’s housemates during the tour, including Stuart, Mario, Jennifer, Sylvia, Maysoon and Stephanie. It ended on Friday, coinciding with the final evictions and the naming of Rachel Rice as this year’s winner.
Crossing O’Sullivan managing director Peter Crossing said: “We have loved using the draw of the Big Brother bus to engage our audience with Virgin Mobile, in a way that is a perfect fit with both Virgin Mobile and Big Brother 9.
“With this tour, we’ve made the brand a living, interactive experience for potential customers, providing a unique opportunity for fans to get involved.”
