PopCap Games is promoting its BAFTA-nominated and hugely successful online puzzle videogame franchise Bejeweled with a competition offering the most romantic woman in the UK and Ireland a one-of-a-kind diamond and sapphire Bejeweled-inspired ring worth £5,000 as a prize.

With 2012 being a leap year, 29 February is the one day every four years when women are allowed, by tradition, to propose to their men. PopCap is asking for women to upload their romantic stories about how they won their Mr Right, particularly if they proposed or plan to propose on 29 February.

The competition is open to U.K. and Irish residents over the age of 18 and runs from now until midnight on Thursday, February 23. It can be entered via Cosmopolitan.co.uk or Handbag.com. Entrants just enter their own romantic story or plan in 50 words or less and answer a simple question about Bejeweled.

Five runners-up will receive a Bejeweled goodie bag, including a PC/Mac version of the game.

Bejeweled has sold more than 50 million units, while more than 3 billion games of Bejeweled Blitz are played on Facebook each month. Bejeweled is the world’s #1 puzzle game and the original ‘match-3’ game.
