Collective gourmet yogurt company runs Cow of the Year competition
Consumers are being encouraged to upload head and shoulders photographs of their nominated cows – which must be real ones – to the website www.cowoftheyear.com, including the name and location of the farm where the cow is from. The promotion is open until midnight Monday 22nd April 2013.
The Prize for the overall winning entrant of Cow of the Year is £1,000 in cash plus The Collective will donate £500 to a community farm of the winner’s choice.
All pictures will be moderated before they go live on the website, and pictures of cows that are in anyway harmed or distressed will be banned from entering and will be reported to the authorities.
A shortlist of six finalists, based on votes, will go to a panel of judges who will select the final winner based on aesthetics, originality, photo quality and composition.
