Big brands choose Crowdity

Crowdity, a social networking for deals website, has been launched by members of the team behind Toptable.

Crowdity offers consumers and their friends large discounts at some of London’s best restaurants, retailers, hotels and more. A largely discounted daily offer is posted on the homepage, inviting consumers and a set number of friends to take it up.

If users can persuade enough friends to take up the deal, the offer is theirs. The deal falls through if the consumer fails to get the right number of friends involved.

Seatwave, All Star Lanes and Red Letter Days have already signed up to the benefits of Crowdity’s members’ site which also provides a platform to showcase companies to new clientele.

Benefits for companies to post a deal on Crowdity include, no upfront or advertising costs, companies only pay for business they receive, businesses get exclusive run of the site’s homepage for a set period of time, companies are assured bookings or sales. Retailers get the opportunity to up-sell, all deals are posted to a 20,000 strong database of stylish bargain hunters and communicated through Facebook and Twitter.

Graham Hall, operations manager at All Star Lanes, says: “A site like Crowdity is the perfect structured social networking tool for businesses wanting to get more out of just spreading the word via Twitter and Facebook.

“By giving guaranteed sales at no upfront cost, it is an ideal way for us to get bookings at quiet times without having to spend money on advertising. What’s more, the number of Crowdity members is constantly increasing, meaning that every time we post a new offer we are also accessing a new group of potential customers that we wouldn’t have been able to reach before.”

Crowdity’s most recent deal with Seatwave saw 15,000 people sign up for a £25 voucher. Smaller business such as Percy and Reed bespoke hairstylists also saw amazing results with their half price deal selling out within two hours.
