Clash-Media launches mobile marketing service

Thu 4th Sep 2008
Digital marketing company Clash-Media has launched Text Connect, a new mobile marketing application that allows brands to market via email, phone calls and SMS.
For the first time, it allows businesses to deliver targeted direct marketing campaigns to the mobile phones of highly qualified leads via these three routes.
It offers consumers free-of-charge texting in exchange for answering key questions on their purchasing habits.
According to new research from the Direct Marketing Association, 70 per cent of consumers who have responded to a mobile marketing offer say they have responded to a marketing text message. As part of the Clash-Media service, consumers can download the Text Connect service free of charge onto their WAP-enabled mobile phones and this data is then submitted to the relevant companies after being verified by Clash-Media's automated cleansing software.
“More and more British consumers are using their mobile phones to conduct transactions and interact with businesses,” said Luke Pursey, UK managing director of Clash-Media. “This behaviour has enabled businesses to add a new delivery channel to their marketing campaign mix to engage potential customers, drive sales and build brand equity.
“Our Text Connect application not only offers consumers the ability to use an unlimited free SMS service, but also provides businesses with an easy way of delivering fully branded SMS messages to audiences genuinely interested in their products and services at a very competitive price.
“We now offer a complete digital marketing portfolio that allows businesses to capitalise on hot leads that have been captured according to their exact specifications.”
Clash-Media is exhibiting at ad:tech London 2008 that runs from September 24 to 25 in Olympia National Hall in London.
